Honestly speaking i cannot understand the reason why the federal government of Nigeria is proposing to scrap the 2 examination bodies i.e JAMB & NECO, though they both perform examination function but at different scope, we must always take the cognisance of our population in taking such a vital decision, only God know the number of students that could have been frustrated by the almighty WAEC had the monopoly status not changed from my lame-man view, have we forget the slogan? ' WAEC release my result', i want to beleive that the existence of N.EC.O has brought a lot of relieve to the parents and students at large.
J.A.M.B the admission clearing house is also performing very well not minding the criticisms by the unserious students who will want to have their way at all cost, the body had always ensure equality in terms of giving opportunity to various classes of the citizenry whether rich or poor, some universities could have made matter worse than it is through their own internal procedures they cannot make public, i have personal experience that can be challenged by anybody who felt otherwise.
So therefore, let no one call for merger or scrapping of these 2 examination bodies, we have more than enough in terms of resources to fund them, we only need to SCRAPP corruption at various goverment levels, if we are cash-crunch.
